ON 03/10, THE FAVORITEN FESTIVAL TAKES OVER THE CITY CENTRE!

We’ll be celebrating a festival of the arts at Friedensplatz. You can look forward to a packed programme featuring performances, theatre, dance, acrobatics, music and hands-on activities from Dortmund and the Ruhr region – all free of charge.
Just pop along if you like and stay as long as you want. There’s plenty to see, eat and drink, as well as space to relax, meet people and chat. You can watch, join in or simply soak up the atmosphere. Feel free to bring friends, family or neighbours – picnic blankets and your own food are also welcome.
The festival is family-friendly, inclusive and open to the whole city. Whether you’re coming specifically for it or just happen to be passing by: you’re welcome. Come as you are – and let’s have a great time.

Our artistic partners include Maschinenhaus Essen, Neuer Zirkus Ruhr e.V., Physical Theatre Netzwerk e.V. and KosmoPolis e.V. for queer nightlife. In addition, numerous initiatives and associations from Dortmund are involved.
