Between the principle of neutrality and artistic freedom? Legal guidance on cultural funding

Many artists are currently wondering how politically they can position themselves in their work and in funding applications. Where do uncertainties arise? Which legal frameworks actually apply? Expert input will provide guidance on the legal foundations of public cultural funding. In addition, practitioners will share specific experiences from their work. Afterwards, we will engage in a discussion with participants on current topics.

The presentation will also be streamed online; the subsequent discussion will take place exclusively in person.

The event is organised as a professional development programme by the NRW State Office for the Independent Performing Arts as part of the FAVORITEN Festival.
