City tours

For anyone looking to explore Dortmund ahead of the FAVORITEN Fest, we offer a range of fascinating city tours.

With six different themed tours, you can get to know the city centre in a whole new way. The tours, which last around two hours, combine personal stories, observations and diverse experiences of city life with current social issues surrounding access to and the division of public spaces. During the walks, there are moments and breaks with seating where you can sit down together to discuss topics and questions.

All city tours start at the Katharinentreppe. Situated opposite the main station, it effectively forms the gateway to the city centre. It is itself a thoroughfare, a meeting place and a public stage all at once.

From 28 August, we will announce all themed routes here and begin the registration process for participation.
