FAVORITEN 2026: New Co-Artistic Directors

The FAVORITEN Festival 2026 will be led by new co-artistic directors Jonas Leifert and Rika Sakalak, selected through an open call to shape North Rhine-Westphalia‘s (NRW) renowned independent theater, dance, and performance festival. Their concept convinced the organizers — the NRW Landesbüro Freie Darstellende Künste and the Cultural Office of the City of Dortmund.
