(UN)LEARNING DISTANCES DIALOGUE
Austausch Internationales Residenzprogramm
The international residency programme (UN)LEARNING DISTANCES creates the opportunity for artists to reach out on a global level. Artistic positions from NRW and other parts of the world meet each other, can learn from and with each other in an international context and overcome distances. They develop artistic works in the digital space as well as on site based on a common question, which are shown as part of the festival.
(UN)LEARNING DISTANCES was initiated as a residency programme by the FAVORITEN Festival and brings together artists from different contexts and continents for the second time. A total of 26 residents from twelve countries have already come together through this residency programme and have tested this international learning process both at a distance and on site.
In a joint discussion, we will exchange views on the residency programme and on artistic work across continents and time zones and reflect on international changes in perspective.
