Ost-West / West-Ost Werkstatt
We want to learn from each other and enable a change of perspective. Two festivals: one in the east of the country – Der Rahmen ist Programm (DRiP) in Chemnitz, one in the west – FAVORITEN in Dortmund. Looking back on 35 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, we ask: How has the division of Germany been dealt with? What assumptions continue to divide the country into East and West? Against the backdrop of a nationwide rise in conservative and right-wing politics as well as attacks on art and civil society, a nationwide exchange seems essential. Together with a delegation from Chemnitz, FAVORITEN is creating diverse spaces for networking between East and West.
