No reistratoin rquired, free entry.

We would like to cordially invite you to the next event in this discourse series on Tuesday, 20 September:

Emel Aydoğdu, the author and director of Das Herz liegt begraben, will report on her artistic working process on the murder of Mehmet Kubaşık committed by the NSU. In her staged reading, she tells the love story of the Kubaşıks. In a joint conversation with Gamze Kubaşık, the daughter of Mehmet Kubaşık, we want to learn what forms resistance, solidarity and belonging from a Dortmund perspective, and unlearn postcolonial ways of thinking and urban structures with Naomi Hennor from Decolonize Dortmund.
With: Emel Aydoğdu, director and author The Heart Lies Buried, Gamze Kubaşık, daughter of Mehmet Kubaşık, and Naomi Hennor, Decolonize Dortmund.
Moderation: Megha Kono-Patel, city dramaturge of Schauspiel Dortmund

Normal was the problem in the first place: Under the motto (Un)Learning for possible futures, the FAVORITEN Festival deals with the challenges of our present and future and asks: What are our internalised patterns, what is the status quo, what needs to be (un)learned? How can we learn from and with each other? In the discourse series Normal was the problem in the first place at the Schauspiel, we will negotiate the focal points of knowledge transfer and education, art in digital space and hacking as well as structural racist violence and resistance together with guests.
