Shame you WHAT!?

S. Rudat & das (i)dentityteam

ProduktionPerformanceDeutsch / tw Englisch18+

With his second-best piece, a mixture of concert and “performance”, S. Rudat, semi-professional musician of the so-called “Generation-WHY”, tries to elaborate on the subject of shame – bold. The wannabe star moves about on a vividly coloured stage, dressed in costumes apparently bought in a carnival store. Nothing really seems to match here. Random sequences of scenes are interrupted by sudden nakedness in an attempt to improve them. The sound design seems just as random as the spaghetti of cables on stage. Minimalist lighting and flamboyant video art complete the evening. Here shame and cringe are close to each other.
